Lucasraymond
So a friend of mine who I recently introduced to grip was able to lift a 50lb blob on his first night trying it. I previously had a 43# fatman at the gym which he was able to lift so I upped the ante yesterday. Here's the video!!!
jvance
Nice, I wonder what percentage of the male population could do that first time without specific training. Out of that percentage, who would do better, the gym rats who work in an office? Or the manual job guys who turn wrenches all day and don't go to the gym? Food for thought, I'm sure this has been hashed out before. I'm leaning toward the latter over the buff dudes. Jedd Johnson
I lifted one the first time I saw one. I was an office hack, but I also was working things like 5-tens pinch, which was actually way harder for me than lifting the Blob.
jvance
I wonder why that is dude, because blobs have always been a weakness. But the 5 tens wasn't that hard comparatively for me me. Perhaps it's because the blob requires more flat fingered squeezing while the 5 tens requires crimped finger tips.
Lucasraymond
He is actually a laborer in the gas industry from Montana but also has been lifting for a few years.
Billy Jack
Great job for a first timer. It also appears that he does have pretty large hands, which doesn't hurt when it goes along with his type of work.

I personally think that people have trouble lifting the Blob because they don't grip it right. Thinking back, the 5 tens I was trying to lift were ultra slick, not beat up or anything like that, so it made it harder to complete the feat. The fellow that lifted the Blob in the video above is coming here tonight. We will see what else he can do!

Jedd Johnson
Naturally hand strong. Can't wait to see what else he can do when he has a plethora of challenges in front of him, and at contests.
