Jedd Johnson
Quite a few people have come to me over the years wondering how to work steel bending into their training without upsetting everything else they do. Most of the people that come to me are also serious about kettlebell competition, powerlifting, or strongman, so they are already focused on a lot of different things. It can be tough to figure out how to place bending in with everything else they do, but I kind of outlined the procedure I go through in this post: http://www.dieselcrew.com/balancing-steel-bending-with-other-training It has worked out pretty well for me with several of the people I have coached. Check out the process, see how you can apply it to what you do, and if you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment on the post. Broly
Jedd, great article. I too struggled with this at first and have been having success with once a week for double overhand bending after my grip training sessions. I don't really feel like I need fresh hands to crush a nail double overhand. I feel it more in my outer chest, shoulders, triceps and certain parts of my wrist. When I try reverse bending I'll do it after a dedicated forearm session or arm wrestling session specific training session. Ever since I've found a way to get in a good bending session I've been even more addicted.
