Have You Ever Tried This Lift? "key Pinch" Plate Lift

I've included this in a recent medley. I'm wondering if it's a good challenge for most grip guys. The difficulty obviously varies depending on the plate used. To make the challenge harder, you could put additional weight plates on top. The lift is harder if you don't use a pin to hold the weights together, as it forces you to lift the plate in a strict, level manner.

Nice lift Eric! I did that lift with one of the Dino Gym 100lb plates that looked exactly like the one in your video. For me it was pretty tough. For you it looked pretty easy. I saw another guy do it (key pinch the 100lb plate) as a warmup for a grip contest event.

I use that get the plates "started" when taking them off a loading pin, but I am not sure if I have ever done a full deadlift. Pretty cool bro.

Definitely more interesting than the coin grip topz :sorcerer:

I just had to try this tonight. I wasn't sure how easy or tough it would be. JT and I both ended up getting it.

(this video is taking a while to upload, but it doesn't matter because the more important one is below anyway)

However, then JT got ridiculous and tried lifting the 100 by the inside rim, A.K.A. the HUB! You gotta check this out...

Absolutely FREAKY if you ask me.

Eric,

Great feat my man. It never crossed my mind to ever try this before, and I doubted I could pull it to lockout to be honest. And of course, it completely blew me away when JT got the inner hub. Thanks for posting the awesome video brother!
