I plan to do a little axle and saxon practice tomorrow so the comp won't be my first time touching either in 7 weeks.  Main thing is just making sure I can at least lift the starting weight so I don't zero out.  The Sorinex saxon's rounded corners make it deceptively hard compared to my bar.  🙄 That's cool you're within the realm of possibility for prize money.  I either need to lose 95lbs this week or add 190lbs to my deadlift to pull a double.  Saxon I'd have to pull 318lb which is just laughable... 🤪

Thanks Joe!  My wife said I should stick with sandpaper at next year's pinewood derby workshops...NO power tools!!!  😂🤣😅

I have a GSI Weekly Newsletter that goes out every Thursday at 3pm.  That's the easiest way.  Just email me at jedd.diesel@gmail.com I have gotten back control of the GSI website, and plan to add events to the calendar there, but with Nationals and my various businesses, I have not done so yet.  But it will happen down the line.

Forgive me for I am on the new side to gripper training, however. if you close a 1 rep Pr, you’re going to create quite a bit of fatigue, so for the next few to several days, you will need to recover before being fresh enough to close your max again.    if your are able to close a certain RGC for 1 rep everyday, it’s probably not your true max

I was going to chime in once I got to work saying that Matt would probably have the most experience with this because I remembered this anecdote from another thread.  In my limited experience of just a few folks, they seem to hover around a #1. Either they can TNS it or get it after I show them the broad strokes of how to set it.  I was not one of those people. It took me some time to close the #1, even with teaching myself how to set. But I'm not a naturally strong person.
