It's plays a role, like everything do. But the handle spread is more important in my opinion, especially when it's really hard grippers. 19 mm or 20 mm diameter is not that big of a difference but let's say 70 mm vs 80 mm handle spread will make a really huge difference in difficulty.

Depends on how you're closing it. If you don't take into account for the removed material on the handle and just swiping your block/card like you normally would do, you're not doing it correctly and you're actually using a more narrow set. So let's say you have removed 7 mm of material you need to set it 7 mm wider to avoid this.

Indeed very strong close. I would say it's common these days, the last two COC's I've bought had this. Quality just seems to go down and prices just keeps going up (here).

Very strong close.   That mounting is really uneven. This is very rare in CoCs, right?

A bit of a rough one today Good news is closing the 123 ccs single felt better today Bad news is all my heavier parallel sets didn’t feel as good as they normally do, may have got a bit over zealous and set a bit wider then normal 😅 I train grippers Tuesday and Saturday, I always feel way better on Saturdays with the extra days rest.   Been having a hard time with the cameras focus, can’t seem to keep the focus clear throughout the close, thankfully I have a long while before certification to figure that out and practice clear filming and finding the right angle to show the close process
