I have been able to lift a York Fatman for over a year...definintely harder but not considerable, probably 5% harder.

Gotcha... I watched ur original Fatman lift video on jedd's channel before I was even a member on the gripboard...awesome by the way...any tips for blobs or blocks? I'm training to get a lift on a Fatman ...hopefully in the near future.

Lots of time trying them...I used to not be able to budge the blob then one day it came up. I usually have my hand on a block or blob 3-4 days a week but not necessarily a full workout with it. Figuring out a hand/finger position that is strongest for you is key...I have been able to lift the normal blob using basically all normal hand grips but the fatman is much more challenging and cannot. Keep on training and you will get it. Good luck!!

After Gripmas, I managed to lift it (smashed my hand between it and a 25k plate on the way down...brilliant).

I thought it was easier than the Fatman by maybe 5% lol (although they vary too). Then again...I prefer the non-sloped wide pinch items.

Thanks for the tips Luke...I'm picking up what you're throwing down about finding the "right" grip for blob lifting...If i Don't "line up right" I miss the lift completely or it slips out no matter how hard I clamp down...after a miss ill regrip, then get a solid lift sometimes even with a hold on top of it...Blobs have humbled me more than any other grip type lift...Been getting more consistent lately...Thanks again.

After Gripmas!?! Serious lift to throw down after a grip competition...Congrats...That slope has been a real challenge for me...+1 on pulling more with flat sided wide implements compared to york blob numbers..Thanks for the input.
