Haven't really trained over the last couple days, mainly played around with the rolling thunder and my new Blob50 that i picked up yesterday. Did some bending today, hit a couple CR 5/16 x 6.5

Nice work w/ the axle... I see you pull it very often and seem to progress and recover. Is there a specific programming that you're using or do you just go by feel?

Lately Ive been using Dan Johns 40 day program. Its been good for pulling everyday with lighter loads but it didn't have any real boost to my max lift. In the past I've stuck with multiple sets of triples and singles, which seem to work well for me. I normally don't pull heavy two days in row but I felt really good this morning. Usually after a heavy day I will try to do a couple maintenance sets going no heavier than 275. Im still trying to figure out the programming aspect, training by feel is a lot more fun.

Today i did the events from the Canadian Championships. Rolling thunder, one hand pinch, v-bar and silver bullet. It was more of a play around sessions to see where i stand. I also hit most of the medley events, on the items that I have. Did most of it with the left as I have some sort of problem with my right elbow, something that I hope to have fixed before february 28

Your last post said you were testing out where you stand with the events for the Canadian Championships. Are you competing then?

Thanks Frank, I've done lots of similar bends but hadn't done an actual red in a couple years and have never done one without elastics.

Yes I am competing. Im doing a couple trial days like today to get an idea of what my attempts should be.

Sounds great.

I predict at least a top 3 finish in the overall standings from you.

I took a full week off. Ive been dealing with a pretty serious issue with my right elbow, reseeded it all week only to blow it up friday night hauling firewood.

Saturday i pulled rolling thunder with the left, up to 175, then did a bunch of holds with 135. I worked Grippers with the right, which don't bother my elbow. I did 3 silver bullet holds. My times were between 20, 15 and 10 seconds. My elbow feels pretty good today .

For Ottawa the end of the month I may have to go all left handed except for the silver bullet.
