Is there a way to find out about upcoming competitions for the remainder of this year and 2017, without reading through all the threads?

The NAGS site hasn't been updated for 2017 yet.  Here's a list of one's I know about.

January...Southern Squeeze (Nashville )

February....wyalusing PA???

March...Regionals???

June...Nationals, (Nashville )

July 15...SJ4 (starring Geralt), (SouthJersey)

September...NCGC, (Southern Maryland )

October. ..Griptoberfest??? (AZ)

October...King Kong???

December...Gripmas (Ohio)

Plus...

 Worlds Stongest Hands ???

Double Barrel Crush  ???

There are a few missing here. Hopefully others can chime in and make this an informative thread.

Afterwards...perhaps we should start a moderated list in the contest section.

When the NAGS site is updated...that info should be there.  In the mean time...here is the link to the 2016 comp info.

Jedd Johnson was the one that brought up a "Regionals" contest here...

I don't think anything has solidified on it yet.

I'm going to move this thread to the Contest Forum due to it's content.

You can probably find several questions answered there.

I'm guessing you didn't make it through the whole thread.  This idea was proposed by Jedd, but got sidelined.  I included it in my list in case the idea was resurrected.

Because March is wide open at the moment, I would suggest that you decide to hold a contest of your own.  Just do it... There are several pinned threads on how to get one started.     Basically, you will need at least 2 contestants, 3 events, 30 days notice and calibrated equipment. If everything is in order, it will become a sanctioned contest.

There has honestly been no discussion about scheduling Regionals in quite some time, @MaizelsTrainingHall.  For now, it would be best to just plot a time you'd like to host a comp and then follow the process in the Sanctioning thread in the Grip Contests section.
