Growing gripsport on the westcoast

So a few months ago I made a post about growing grip sport by using social media.

It kinda got a mixed response here as to weather or not it was worth it or if it would work.

I use to think I was the only person in my city that was into grip training and after reaching out on Facebook, Reddit, and Instagram I found a handful of people that are into grip and bending some and have a solid interest in getting deeper into it.

Once I found these people I started hosting grip training sessions at my house which have gotten a good response, good enough that now I have been reaching out to area gyms to find a place to host monthly grip training sessions and future comps.

My goal is to have a solid 10 people both men and women coming to a grip event every month ish and to put new grip implements into new hands.

So these videos are kinda long, its hard to condense a 4 hour training session down to something really short so I don't expect people to watch all of them. However I do think this is proof that reaching out on all platforms works to find new people for this sport and build a community of people.

Good work man. It's hard enough to find and or make equiment, let alone train consistently, and you're taking it way further. I wish there was someone closer to me that did that. I just can't make the time for it right now but I bet I would find a way to show up if someone else put in all that effort.

46 lb. blob is legitimate man. That's some guy! Did you guys try higher blobs? How about 4.5 block pinch?

That guy would be Mr. O'Keeffe here.

The wood block didn't get much use, it kinda turned into a Flask pinching day.

I saw that!  Strong lift.  Full blob lift right around the corner.

I want to visit Portland someday.  I'll let you know so I can meet with some gripsters.

I didn't get to make it all the way through the vid/s yesterday...but I think what you are doing is fantastic.

It is also like a billion times more likely to spread grip than what we currently are.

Kudos sir.
