Jedd Johnson
I've just now entered the results from the Empire Classic Grip Challenge I held in May. I have no good excuses for the delay, so I'm not going to make them. Are there results from other comps that still need to be entered? If so, which comps and can you send them to me? I will work on getting them entered. Also, if anyone is still interested in volunteering to enter results for us, @acorn and I were talking about this at Living Legends, and we pretty much decided it's time to bring someone else on. Thank you. Jedd
acorn
Nationals for one needs to be entered. Not sure what else.
Jedd Johnson
I will work on Nationals. Any other sanctioned comps, guys?
Mikael Siversson
Think there was a comp in Finland this year where the 1HP WR in the 74k class was broken (by Teemu) but I am only guessing it was sanctioned.

It was Iisalmi leg of WSH. We did not sanction that separately.
Jedd Johnson
I have no recollection of this comp. Is there an email trail to follow?
Jared Goguen
It seems like it might be a good idea to add a rule for promoters to report the results of sanctioned comps with in a month of the comp or lose the ability to host a comp? This would likely end the the lack of reporting, which if you search the subject here seems to happen at least once a year.
Jedd Johnson
Thanks, but I can't put all the blame on the promoters. This has a lot to do with my lack of organization around this particular system.

Probably no one thought that it is their responsibility to notify you about these results. Local promoters sent results to David and that was it. To be honest i am not sure how sanctioning works with these multi national contests. King kong runs smoothly but how about others? Squeezus
I enter results from all of my competitions. I feel like it is my responsibility to let my competitors see their results on the board. If I had more time, I would volunteer to enter results for other people's competitions.
Eric Roussin
I know I've said it before, but I think contest promoters should enter their own results into the database. It really isn't that hard, nor is it really time consuming. It will only take me about two hours to enter all of the King Kong scores (all venues - not just Ottawa). I actually don't think there are many recent contest results to enter that haven't already been entered. There have been a few non-sanctioned comps (e.g. The Battle in the Capital, Living Legends), but the results from these don't get entered. Well, there is a link in the contests section covering the process. It's outlined pretty well and easy to follow.

I agree, I think the promoter should enter them as well. Some people outright refuse.

But does every local promoter have to do this separately or would it be enough if there were one announcement about WSH contest and that covers all venues? Andrew P
For the King Kong Eric and I handle the NAG's sanctioning then work with the local promoters to be compliant at the specific locations. Thank you Jared. Edited September 1, 2016 by Andrew P

Typically for the large ones like WSH or King Kong the majority if not all of the results would be entered by the main promoter although David does not enter results so that is often someone else, occasionally me for the WSH comps

The primary promoter/organizer sanctions the event.
