CoC #3 width

Hey guys,

just wanted to ask what the normal width for a CoC#3 would be? Mine is about 7.8cm-8cm(3,07087-3,14961 inches) at the handles, I've read about other CoC#3s having like 6.8cm width. I have attached a pic of it. Feels quite close to my CoC#3.5, but I don't really have anything to measure the strength besides width.

Thanks and keep it strong!

Most of my Nr. 3 grippers are about 7,5 cm. I have one that is as wide as yours. It is rated at 158 # by CPW.

the average is 75mm just like the average RCG is 150lbs, and there is a correllation between the spread and RCG, I rated 10 and here are the results I got: (1st number is RGC in lbs)

156 - 76.2mm
153 - 76.5mm
153 - 77.8mm
150 - 75.9mm
150 - 77.9mm
148 - 75.2mm
147 - 74.6mm
145 - 74.6mm
145 - 74.5mm
143 - 73.6mm

the narrowest one I have is an old #3 i bought from JoshW on here, it's spread is 69.7mm and it's RGC is 140lbs. I think an explanation for this is it spent a long time in a choker, which could alter the spread and make it a bit easier.

Exarmy,

that is some collection of #3 grippers.  Impressive.  Did I miss some sort of IronMind promo?  That is a stack of threes!

I bought 10 and rated them to find the ones I needed, sold the ones I didn't need and kept 3 so now I have 3's in my collection rated at 140, 143, 148, 153, 156.

managed to get them cheaper than retail by buying in bulk so all in all I think I broke even by the time I ad sold them on, and got the grippers I needed!

I have an RB300 with a 97mm spread (rated as 165 by Sam Radcliff, who's ratings are about 4lb under those by Matt) why I'm keeping it I have no real idea!
