I built it and use it frequently, I thought it would be easy to handle. Boy, was I wrong....now I can handle about 19 elastic bands on my thumb, took some time though!

I took a board 2"x4"- 26" long and put 10 nails 1" apart along the center of the board at one end (End A.).  Instead of rubber bands (which often break) use a 12" long mini-band (different widths). Put one end of the mini-band over a nail.  Hold the board at the other end (End B.), put your thumb or finger/fingers in the other end of the mini-band and pull towards End B. of the board.  To increase tension on the mini-band, just put one end of the mini-band 1 nail (1 inch) further towards End A. of the board.

This cost $0.00 as I already had several mini-bands, a board and nails.

My thumb joint has been bothering me, so I made one to still get some thumb work in. Used the ironmind bands that I have, seems like it will work pretty good.

I do not have a camera.   The picture by Tom Scibelli is very close to what I was trying to say.   In the Tom Scibelli picture the distance the band is pulled is the same - but he uses different tension bands.    I am saying just the reverse.  The band is the same (1 mini band 12" long)  but to increase the tension on the band, move the anchor end of the band from 1 nail to a further away nail  (increasing the distance the band is pulled) - then pull with your thumb just like in the Tom Scibelli picture.   (I really need to get a camera and learn how to use it).
