Haha thanks! I can only hope that Chris had the same reaction (that way I would expand my training WAY sooner than I thought I would be able to).

The winner is Mat Cannon

R.I.C.E.

  • Rotational – Interchangeable – Conditioning – Equipment

I wanted something descriptive of the device and its function plus is easy to write in my training journal and R.I.C.E. fits the bill the best I feel.

Matt - please PM me your mailing address

Wow!  There were some REALLY good and creative entries and I'm surprised to have won!  I've been in contact with Jedd to try and address my feeble "wrists" which are only named as such due to location.  Basically my wrists have no business calling themselves wrists.  I feel this device will give them the best chance of surviving!  Thank you Chris!

I really liked "Yol Bosunator" a lot next as that describes my philosophy in life - but that would have been even harder to explain what it was :).

System 511

I'm not sure what 511 means in your handle, but it could mean this thing trains your 5 fingers, wrist, and elbow.

Terrorwrist

I latched on to this comment: "Be prepared for some strange soreness..." Due to a negative connotation, you could also consider Torturwrist or Rigorwrist or something similar.

Wrisky Business

I just think this one is funny.

Rice Cube

It does 4 things.

edit: I honestly had not read bencrush's reply yet when posting this.

Wrist Thingy

Endearing to its creator :)

Adventurwrist

A little clumsy, but captures the inventor's adventurous spirit

Hope this helps Matt:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5.11_Tactical

This being the pertinent point:

The name “5.11” comes from the highest rock climbing difficulty level that was listed in the Yosemite Decimal System at Yosemite National Park, which was developed by Robbins in the 1950s.[4] The difficulty level is officially defined as, “After thorough inspection, you conclude this move is obviously impossible; however, occasionally someone actually accomplishes it".[3]

For what it's worth Matt, when I put my Fat Gripz handle on my Wrist thingy, it feels much more comfortable and forces me to squeeze a bit harder too. Not that squeezing it really the point, but feels more comfortable. Just something different to try.
