Chez
We are adding a couple more grippers. here is the updated list. 1) COC Sport = 45.32) COC Trainer = 56.23) RC Strongman Grip 125 = 65.74) GNC 100 = 67.85) COC #.5 = 71.2 6) COC #1 = 77 - Chris Andrade7) COC #1 = 83.3 8) COC 1.5 = 86.03 - Chris Andrade9) COC #1.5 = 91.210) COC #1.5 = 93.4 - Chris Andrade 11) GHP 4 = 96 12) BBM = 105 - Chris Andrade13) COC #2 = 108.9 14) BBSM = 111 - Frank Deluca15) COC #2 = 112.7 16) GHP 5 = 116 - Mike Sharkey17) GHP 5 = 118.9 18) BBSM = 121 - Frank Deluca 19) BBSM = 123 - Mike Sharkey 20) RB 210 = 128.921) COC #2.5 = 133.422) RB 240 = 136.523) GHP 6 = 137.6 24) BBGM = 138 - Anthony C. 25) COC #3 = 141 26) COC #3 = 14427) FBBC 4X = 145.228) GHP 7 = 147.229) Original COC #3 = 149.230) Certification COC #3 = 153.031) MM2 = 156 - Anthony C. 32) MM1 = 160 - Mike Sharkey33) BBE = 165.334) BB Thor Elite = 171.5 35) RB 280 = 174.0 36) MM3 Replica = 176.0537) COC # 3.5 = 179.738) RB 330 = 182.339) MM3 Replica = 185.8 40) MM5 Replica = 189.85 41) MM3 Replica = 19242) BBSE = 194.45 43) BB Grand Elite = 197.84 44) COC #4 = 202.8 I'm going to test the sledge choke idea this week. We are going to put a nut (the type you use with a bolt) on the sledge head and rest a ball/marble on the nut. This is similar to David Horne's lever top if you want to google/youtube that. The size of the nut and ball/marble will determine how strict it is so I will have to play around with the sizes. no chalk will be allowed on the sledge head. I'll post a video in this thread this week demonstrating it. Edited July 14, 2014 by Chez
Chez
One more rule for the sledge event. What is balanced on the sledge head must be place approximately in the center of the sledge head. Obviously it can not be placed exactly in the center but there must be a good faith effort to place it in the center and I will check the placement before the lift begins. Chez
I made this spreadsheet tonight for the weight combinations that I can make with my weights for the Rolling Thunder. The jumps are roughly 2.5 lbs but I also have 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1 and 1.25 lb fractional plates if you want to make an attempt in between these. This will enable you to plan your attempts come comp day. I'll do the same thing for the hub and post tomorrow. 50.7 123.1 196.65 53.2 125.7 199.25 55.8 128.2 201.75 58.3 130.75 204 60.85 133.25 206.5 63.35 135.85 209.65 65.95 139.25 212.15 68.45 141.75 214.75 70.7 144.35 217.25 73.2 146.85 219.8 76.35 149.4 222.3 78.85 151.9 224.9 81.45 154.5 227.4 83.95 157 230 86.5 159.25 89 161.75 91.6 164.9 94.1 167.4 94.95 170 97.45 172.5 100.05 175.05 102.55 177.55 105.1 180.15 107.6 182.65 110.2 184 112.7 186.5 114.95 189.1 117.45 191.6 120.6 194.15 Edited July 17, 2014 by Chez
Chez
I'm not sure how hot it will be contest day, but does anyone have any fans they can bring in case its crazy hot. The Comp is taking place in a big 2 car garage like Jedd's so there will be no AC.

Chez
Here is a video demonstrating how the sledge event will be run. I think the sledge modification turned out pretty dam good. Big thanks to Nathaniel Brous. This was his idea and he set the sledge up for me since I have been running around. It looks like less than 20 degree tilt will be allowed (I'm bad at guessing angles). In the video I show how strict this is compared to the quarter currently being used.

Chez
One of the competitors has anvils that he can bring for sale. Here is what he has and the price: 124 lb - $250 143 lb - $350 150 lb - $400 178 lb - $450 If you are interested, please post here since he won't bring them if no ones wants to buy. If anyone else wants to sell stuff at the comp, feel free to post here. Give the price as well. I will be buying a baby inch dumbbell from a friend at the comp so everyone can give it a try after we finish with the events. If anyone wants be bring anything for people to try after post here. I can bring stuff as well if you let me know what you want to try. We can do bending, arm wrestling etc if people want to stick around. Stephen Ruby
I really like the way your handling the sledge event, that looks like it will work great and be fair to everyone. Hope everyone gets good rest this week and hits some PRs and has a good time. Look forward to seeing the results.

The sledge choke numbers are definitely going to be low with this strict setup. Hitting 20 inches on this setup would be dam impressive. Buccos1
I am selling a David Horne Wrist Developer. Two years old, but near-mint condition. (Anyone that knows me knows I don't really bend reverse that much ... might have used it two times ever.) Just sitting collecting dust and chalk. Looking to get $75.
