Just got back From Hatch New Mexico went to The Hatch Chile Fest

and won 1st place in the Chile eating contest

My training for this was eating at leat 1 haanero chile a day

Was it a contest in eating the strongest chili? How many scoville was it?

I have been growing some myself. Like Bhut Jolokia for example :)

The peppers were not very hot It's was the Hatch New Mexico chile it was the hottest variety

that the grow there. It was just a matter of who could eat 8 chiles the fastest. I was growing habanero's

3 different kinds the orange, carribian red, jamican scotch bonnets, I had over 20 plants of habanero's

and 4 ghost peppers plants and 4 red scorpian peppers plants and 1 yellow scorpian plant too had a very good crop last

year . Made some habanero peach jam very good also pickled them too

Okey, congrats to your victory!

Sounds very nice with your chilis. Chili is a fun hobby, if you like spicy food of course :)
