climber511
When might the stronger ones become available?
macaz
I noticed yu have a rating on 2 of them. So do you have samples? They look like they will be a bear to RGC!!!
Cannon
I don't have samples. Right now I'm relying on the product copy which compares the strengths to the CoC counterpart. Once I do have grippers, these can be reevaluated. Chris, for now just watch for news from IronMind. I'll definitely post of I learn something about when CPW will have them. macaz
I think The Evil Dr. Strossen designed this gripper to make it hard to RGC it. Joking, I get the design. It will work beyond the range nicely.

It appears these can be purchased right NOW from IM website! You'll just have to wait on the scheduled shipping dates. But I'm assuming people will wait on Matt for cheaper shipping rates. Cannon
But I'm assuming people will wait on Matt for cheaper shipping rates. Also the opportunity for rating and ability to combine the order with other brands

Actually, Zenith might pose some challenges for RGC ratings—not the least of which is that RGC ratings on Zenith are unlikely to foot to even absolutely perfect RGC ratings on any other gripper. This won't bother anyone who always believed TEDS when he explained the limits of RGC ratings, and for the other guys, they'll believe the RGC numbers anyway . . . so everyone wins, trains harder, gets stronger and lives happily ever after. Cannon
They would be useful numbers when comparing one Zenith to another.

mightyjoe
They would be useful numbers when comparing one Zenith to another. This is why I would RGC mine. I made an RGC strap with a flexible rubber insert so the strap won't slip off the handle. Tried it on some very smooth handle Tetting grippers without a hiccup. Even intentionally tilted the gripper forward to test the angles I could get away with. I'm excited about these NEW grippers! I'm inching closer and closer to 300 torsion spring grippers! I remember in the late 80's when I thought 5 grippers was a lot! LOL!!! Edited November 24, 2012 by Mighty Joe

Cannon
They would be useful numbers when comparing one Zenith to another. Matt - Are you just going to be rational? I'm not sure what you mean, but I do believe that is all the the number will be good for, and would be useful and repeatable in this way. Even with standard grippers, a 150# rating on a knurled gripper is different than a 150# rating on a smooth handle. Yeah, the number is the same, but I guarantee I'll smash one and miss the other by 1/4". The value of RGC ratings is in meaningful comparison. But you have to understand if you've just rated an apple or an orange.
